Bipolar disorder – 5 foods to avoid

Caffeine
Caffeine is an underappreciated stimulant and trigger element of manic episodes. Fatty foods
The American Heart Association has some heart-healthy recommendations for limiting the levels of trans and saturated fats in one’s diet. This essentially means opting for low-fat dairy products and lean protein options when one chooses animal products. Fat levels in foods could change the way your body uses medication. Typically, medication continues to be effective, but if one eats lots of fatty, fried foods, then it doesn’t spell well for the heart. One also needs to remember that the oils that are used for frying contain high levels of omega-6 fatty acids – something that one should avoid.
